Golda and I tied for third place. She made fantasy food and my project was a little more autobiographical.........


The theme was "What High Fantasy means to me.." It was simple...where else can I fall in love with a dragon, create fantastic swords and become a fierce warrior? Oh, and do the 'YMCA" as a pixie........that picture is on the other side.

I am not much of a blog follower but Tina's blog is one that I love. For those who are not familiar with PetGirl.......well, you are missing a treat. Just visit the many events of the Swedish sims or click this link above and you will be hooked by her wonderful personality.

Today Tina's blog touched on a subject that I have gone over in my mind many times, and also discussed with my parter at length. Our Avatars and why we have created our 'selves' the way that we have. Balthier and I probably look like the 'odd couple' to most. He is a dragon....and I sometimes Drow, sometimes Fae, sometimes Goth Pixie and yes......sometimes even human. To us this choice makes perfect sense because this is fantasy after all....and Balthier has commented on the silliness of coming to a world such as SL to create the 'perfect' appearance...and I have countered this by commenting that perhaps this image of perfection is the most 'fantastic' of all.....

As Tina writes in her blog: "Today I have a little rash on my face. Terrible! But I can hide myself in my computer screen..........."

I'm so out of touch and pay attention to 'nada'.......my friend Moundsa IMed me two days ago thinking that I had an exhibit at SL6BD and I didn't even know what he was talking about, so I slipped on my wings and staggered over (um...flew over?) to check out the various builds.

Frank Lloyd Wright Museum

Still recovering from the 'fruity head of joy', I took in the Frank Lloyd Wright museum in SL

So.

I'm sitting on the couch with my coffee, reading the IMs that come through and thinking of worlds to explore......and I hit a link in the Builder's Brewery window......

Once I land I am invited to wear the 'Fruity Head of Joy' and join the dance.

Of course once the dance is over I am stuck in the pose, which is normal for me.

I've grown to expect that reality that I am destined to be stuck in animation :-)
